This is the intial painting I did before the larger and mind blowing Into A Corner- Ladybirds
The painting is inspired by the fact that native Britsh ladybirds are in decline due to the invasion of the larger, hungrier and more aggressive harlequin ladybirds. Originally from Asia they started appearing in this country in 2004. It is feasible that Britain's most common ladybird with the two and seven spots may disappear altogether.
It is the twos and sevens which are featured in this painting.
The title is a play on the phrase "painted into a corner".
